A Galveston County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision in League City.
Khristin Dempsey filed a lawsuit Oct. 24 in Galveston County District Court against Darren Jay Dalton and Geary Don Dalton, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Dempsey was driving east on East League City Parkway on June 7, when Darren Jay Dalton, driving Geary Don Dalton’s vehicle west on the same road, ran a red light and violently struck the plaintiff’s vehicle. Darren Jay Dalton is accused of negligence, negligence per se, and gross negligence for failing to keep a proper lookout or avoid a collision and running a red light. Geary Don Dalton is accused of negligent entrustment.
Dempsey seeks between $50,000 and $300,000 in damages, including medical expenses, lost wages, interest and costs of court. She is represented by attorney Michael C. Howard of Houston.
