Jefferson County man files restraining order to stop demolition of home

A Jefferson County man is filing for a temporary restraining order to stop the city of Beaumont from demolishing his home. demolition

Judson Holmes filed a temporary restraining order, temporary injunction and permanent injunction on April 11 in the Jefferson County District Court against the city of Beaumont.

Holmes claims on March 25 he purchased a home, at 2204 Pecos St. in Beaumont that the city had scheduled to demolish. The suit alleges Holmes plans to remodel and renovate the home for its historical and sentimental value to him.

Holmes is filing for a temporary restraining order to prevent the defendant from demolishing the home.

Holmes is seeking a restraining order to prohibit the demolition of his home, a hearing for temporary injunction to be awarded and expenses for court costs.

He is being represented in the case by Beaumont attorney Paul W. Gertz of The Gertz Law Firm.
