Houston resident Michael Everett is suing the city of Port Arthur, alleging a vehicle belonging to the city ran him over at the dump.
The suit was filed Aug. 5 in Jefferson County District Court. 
According to the lawsuit, on May 10 Everett was at the Port Arthur landfill when suddenly a vehicle belonging to the city ran him over.
The suit accuses the city employee of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and back up safely.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages.
Houston attorney Kevin O’Malley represents him.
Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
